30/10/05:
-The ML touch football side, as well as its associated feeder clubs, completed their first "Gala Day" this weekend. The Generals completed the competition with three losses and a draw, The Commissioners came out of the day with two draws, two losses and a win (the FIRST victory by any exclusively female ML side) and finally, ML had two losses, followed by a draw, and then their FIRST win ever!
Congrats to all our teams, a "Gala Day Wrap-Up" will be posted on this site sometime during the week.

A Brief History Of Macquarie Lodge Touch Football...
In September 2003, upon the recommendation of long time youth leader, Tim Girling, the Maquarie Lodge Sporting Trust (MLST) unanimously decided to include Touch Football in its sporting program. Since that day in September ML Touch Football (MLTF) has been trying to establish itself in a sport dominated by Corps the likes of Sydney Congress Hall, Earlwood, Audurn and of late, Chatswood. It is not an easy task.
However earlier this year an event occured that could change the course of ML's future within the sport, The PSA Generals and PSA Commissioners were named as ML feeder clubs for this Touch Football season, this marks the beginning of a relationship that we hope will extend well into the future.
Although ML has travelled a bumpy road thus far, this year players both new and old are banding together to play in what many have said will be the best side yet.
